Hi Shuqing, Are there any waveforms that can be shared showing the results from the tests above? For test 1 and 2, the phase shift of EPWM 2 is changed correct? Can I please know the TBPRD value set and the phase value set in the phase registers along with the CMPA values when these tests are done? Best Regards, Marlyn

Part Number: TMDS243EVM Tool/software: I am trying to boot the AM243x on the EVM board. I think I have successfully loaded the program using DFU to flash, because the log gave expected output as manual described. The loading program is I2C LED flashing infinitely, and has been verified in ENG DEV mode by JTAG. But when set the boot mode to OSPI mode and power cycle the board, there is no responses from Soc. I have also tried to load the program directly to RAM by DFU and boot from DFU, get nothing either. Can you please suggest if there is any action missed during power up? I really need some guidance as a fresher. Thanks. Thanks & Best regards Hao (Wang hao)

Hello Ki, Thank you for the video. I do the same steps, but when I connect. It halts the MCU. I am not using the Launchpad. I am using the F2500156-Q1 64PM using the 14-Pin header. I don't know if that is relevant or not. Regards, Fernando

Thank you for your response! In fact, during the process of motor control, we often use a large number of for loops when writing programs. The CPU usually takes a considerable amount of time to run these for loops. So, I would like to ask if we can utilize the powerful computing capabilities of the NPU to significantly reduce the time spent on executing these for loops?

Part Number: TMS320F28379D Tool/software: Hi Champs, I am trying to log some data from a LAUNCHXL-F28P65 to a SD card ( https://www.reichelt.de/de/de/shop/produkt/entwicklerboards_-_breakout-board_fuer_microsd-karten-266045 ). I program the microcontroller via Simulink following these two examples: * https://de.mathworks.com/help/ti-c2000/ug/prerequisite.html * https://de.mathworks.com/help/ti-c2000/ug/mat-file-sd-card-logging.html However after running the program the SD card is still empty. As hardware setup I connected the GPIO pins as depicted in https://www.ti.com/lit/ml/spaz022/spaz022.pdf?ts=1742373262159&ref_url=https%253A%252F%252Fwww.ti.com%252Ftool%252FLAUNCHXL-F28P65X to use SPI A as connection. I configured try to run this simulink example and checked as well the setting of hardware parameters three times ( https://de.mathworks.com/help/ti-c2000/ug/mat-file-sd-card-logging.html ). Besides I tested with a logic analyzer, that the pins only display idle line while running the program. When using the "SPI transmit" block of the C2000 library I receive the "correct" clock and values on the "PICO / MOSI" line. However, that wont write to the SD card. Why is the logging using the "Scope", "Outport" or "To Workspace" block not working? What could I change? Thank you in advance for your help! Cheers, Isabella

I reviewed everything, and I wasn't doing the same. I was starting from the Project Explorer, and I wasn't changing the properties from the Threads. Now it works. Many thanks

Hey Darcy, Thanks for this information. 1) Can you provide more details on the board implementation? 1a) What CAN transceivers are used? 1b) Can you provide a schematic for review? 2) Can you check the equivalent code on the Launchpad? 3) Can you also provide scope shots of the CAN_H/CAN_L signals? The scope shots you provided do not look like accurate CAN signals. Please refer to the app note below regarding debugging the CAN bus. https://www.ti.com/lit/an/slyt529/slyt529.pdf Best Regards, Zackary Fleenor

Part Number: TMS320F280025 Tool/software: Hi, I'm using the MotorControl SDK V5.0.2 with the universal motor control example with a ACIM motor. Now it seems to work fine, expect there is a problem with FWC. FWC seems only to work in the positive speed direction and it increases the magnetic current in the opposite direciton. Is this a bug? When I do the following, it works, but I'm not sure if MTPA then still work: in motor1_drive.c (use fabsf of IsRef instead of directly IsRef seems to solve the issue): Thanks

Part Number: TMS320F28379D Tool/software: Hello, In my application, I route few mail boxes receiving interrupts on Line 0. But today I want to add the Error interrput. Checking the INT0ID register, I thought I was able to distinguish the two sources of interrupt. Bit I am not sure to understand the reference manual: Does the value 0x8000 indicate that the source is a status or error but BusOff (I am also not sure that 0x7 means BusOff), or that we can only be sure that the source is not a BusOff. In other words, shall I check if INT0ID==0x8000 or if IT0ID==0000 ? Thank you

Hi Wang, Dedicated RX buffer use 'SFID1' for the fixed message ID filtering and SFID2[5:0] is used as index into the RX buffer memory to store the received message. Hence the range filtering for the message ID is not supported while using the dedicated RX buffer. regards, Anand

Hi Nguyen, I see the C2000Ware link but what is the TI Wave software you are referring to? Can you post the directory required to get to the TI Wave software in the C2000Ware SDK? For motor control, it is more advantageous to use the C2000WARE MotorControl SDK to get access to all of our motor control reference designs Regards, Peter

I see. Unfortunately, NPU is not a general purpose computing core. It is more fit for running fixed point neural network layers with multiply and accumulate. If you want to run a neural network inference workload, the NNC compiler user's guide is here: https://software-dl.ti.com/mctools/nnc/mcu/users_guide/ Our top-level user interface for customers is EdgeAI Studio MCU: https://www.ti.com/tool/EDGE-AI-STUDIO

Forum Post: RE: TMS320F280039C-Q1: EPWM stuck with the below AQ configuration

Hi Marlyn Please see the picture below: I think with my setting, the CMPA rising and falling edge both are earlier than PRD and ZERO edge, so if I can ignore the CMPA action, I can realize the 50% duty cycle with PRD and ZERO, and if i add CMPA action, the CMPA action will not be effected by the PRD and ZERO action, so I can use the four configurations combination to realize the switching of to PWM trigger method. but I failed to do that because CMPA cannot be ignored even it is set higher than PRD. Do you have any other suggestions to realize my PWM trigger method switching? The need comes from customer power topology design which need the phase shift and duty cycle change at the same time. Thanks Joe
