Part Number: TMS320F2800157 Tool/software: Dear Texas Instruments Support Team, My device needs to be able to perform firmware updates via SCI and I want to use serial_flash_programmer provided in C2000 utilities, but I need to disable JTAG acess for security (except for development of new features, so I know it its possible to set a Password to enable debug access). I want to know if I need necessarily enable the security of memory sectors to enable de JTAGLOCK and if I do enable, is it possible to use the SCI ROM bootloader in a secure device? If I just enable JTAGLOCK, without configure the security of sectors of memory (if that is possible), there's a way to someone gain access to my code? If I enable memory security and it's still possible to perform firmware updates using serial_flash_programmer, what's the procedure? Thanks in advance for any assistance!
