Part Number: TMS570LC4357 Tool/software: Code Composer Studio We are unable to connect to our custom board using a XDS110 debug probe after an incorrect image was loaded. It was working fine before this. We get the -1170 error. One of the responses to a similar post on this forum e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/hercules/f/312/t/764530 10) Now try to connect to the DAP just like you did with IcePick C. Can you connect now? 11) If the last step is successful then connect to the Cortex R. You may have to 'retry' a bunch of times like 10's or more times while pressing the 'reset' (not Power on Reset) button. But again what does pressing the reset button mean in this context since we have a custom board and not an HDK? Will the use of EMU0/EMU1 pins help with making the connection successful? Is there a document that describes what each of EMU0/EMU1 pins settings mean? The EMU0/EMU1 settings appear in the JTAG nTRST Boot-Mode and the Power-On-Reset Boot-Mode. The XDS110 target configuration does NOT show the JTAG nTRST Boot-Mode and Power-On-Reset Boot-Mode properties but lets you specify the JTAG TCLK frequency. The XDS100v2 shows the nTRST Boot-Mode/Power-On-Reset Boot-Mode options and also lets you specify the JTAG TCLK frequency. See the snapshots below. Currently we only have a XDS110 debug probe available. Thank you Subu
