Tarik, Resolution is the minimum value represented by this math. Minimum value is obtained when STEP = 1. Here, the integration register refers to LUT. (The original writers of this doc are not with TI anymore to get the reasoning behind the name used here). You can appreciate that, at an ISR of Fs, if one were to step (STEP = 1) through every entry of the LUT of size 65536, where the LUT represents only 60 degrees, then the number of times it would sweep 360 degrees in one second (called the base frequency Fb) would be Fb = Fs*(1/(6*65536)) If the table is swept through every alternate entry (STEP = 2), then Fb = Fs*(2/(6*65536)) or in general, Fb = Fs * STEP / (6*LUT size) Hope it helps.
