Hello TI! The project we're working on is an encrypted, high speed USB3.0 storage device. This is to be a small thumb drive form factor, and we are writing software to facilitate user management. I have been trying to find information about the speed the encryption module on the chips, I have seen that AES modules exist on some MCU's, but nothing about throughput. Would we be better off writing our own firmware to a processing chip? This chip would ideally be FIPS 140-2 level 2 compliant or certified. I believe that we will need several chips to create this device, for example one chip to handle the USB interface, one chip for micro SD card file storage and another for encryption. I am confused by the capabilities of some chips, there are many that have support for different aspects of what we're looking for, but I'm unsure if they are suitable as we are targeting a read and write speed of 800/480Mbps. Regards! Fujimi
