I need to develop a motor control system using BLDC motors that are usually at rest but perform frequent moves. I believe the best control choice for this is sinusoidal control. Because it is usually at rest, InstaSpin cannot be used, and sensors, including an encoder, are employed.
I would like to leverage what I can from the controlSuite but I am finding it very difficult to determine what is most applicable and useful to this application. controlSuite provides lists of library functions with somewhat cryptic names and a few whitepapers but I don't see a central summary of what is available and what is recommended for different types of applications. There is a discussion of FOC control for a PMSM motor which suggests library blocks that would be useful for different parts of that solution. Is there a similar whitepaper or other case study that would identify which library blocks are useful for sinusoidal control of a BLDC motor?
Thanks,
Mitch
