Forum Post: AM2634: Any GEL file (or other) magic for proper multi-core debugging available?

Part Number: AM2634 Tool/software: Hi I am looking for some kind of solution for multicore debug which does not involves 10 clicks on each run which not always working either. Is there any magic (GEL or else) which resets both cores and ensures that both are running the new code on every debug no matter what which does not needs a reset or por? The debugging process is on remote desktop many times and doing a HW reset or pressing buttons is not an option. What I do now is tedious and not always working: - load the project (ipc_spinlock_sharedmem for example) - press debug - and than press Resume(F8) again on both cores - 1st time working - 2nd time not working since the 2nd core is not reset, running the old code - needs a pause on 2nd core, than a CPU reset (either from menu or script) like described here: e2e.ti.com/.../5186566 - then press Resume(F8) on both cores again - this sometimes works, sometimes CCS will display a red error with "powercycle the board" and I am also never sure if 2nd core is running the new code or the old one after this many click process System reset does not works at all (after system reset nothing works until a POR on the devboard). Tried grouping the cores but does not helps either. I am using ccs12.7.0 and sdk 9.2.0.56 (10.x sdk has issues with missing emmc support and UART data loss so I can't upgrade until those are fixed - both issues reported on other threads). Best regards, Barna Csenteri
