I used Elprotronic's FET-Pro430 to program some parts a little while back, after not having worked with the 430 much for a month or so. It kept giving me the "upgrade your firmware" message and I finally did - from 3.02.04.004 (I think) to 3.02.04.005. However, CCS started giving me the same story after I updated via Fet-Pro430. So it made me wonder if Fet-Pro430 knew about a FW upgrade that CCS didn't, so I finally updated CCS to the latest version (5.4.0.00091; I was only at 5.3.something).
But CCS still gives me the message to upgrade. I'm loathe to do so without more info. Can anybody tell me what's the latest version and why the two tools are (or seem to be) at odds?
Also, is this version info available on the web somewhere? I couldn't find it. And how did Fet-Pro430 know that there was a newer version? I assume it auto-checks somewhere?
