Two things.
1. You may be able to run this motor initially, but for any sort of performance testing you WILL need to adjust the voltage scaling from the 66V to about 18v for your motor. This is a HW and SW change discussed in the GUI QSG and drv8301 HW Guide.
2. I suspect you have a low inductance motor that requires a higher PWM frequency as well. Please download MotorWare, install and run MotorWare.exe. Follow the Project and Lab User's guide under Resources. The default PWM for the DRV83x projects is 45 kHz in MotorWare.
It should work right away, I've used many motors like this.
Also, we have two new things coming you will be interested in, Both in October for the next MotorWare release:
1. 6-24v 10a low cost inverter and control board
2. Universal GUI which will let you interface/instrument the MotorWare project more easily
Good luck!
